Cyprian De Coteau originally from Trinidad & Tobago is now an East London based stylist and personal shopper. After studying menswear at the London College of Fashion, De Coteau assisted stylists Simon Foxton and Edward Enninful at ID Magazine. With 15 years of experience in the fashion industry De Coteau has styled for a host of leading publications including ID, The Independent Magazine and The Observer Magazine.
Although much of De Coteau’s experience has been in his capacity as a stylist, he also works as a costume designer for the Print Room and an occasional fashion and creative editor for Pride and Generation magazines. His approach to styling is inspired by his passion for tailoring with an appreciation for the narrative qualities associated with using the clothes designed by others and the belief that those garments can be transformed to create a completely new look. De Coteau’s career highlights include styling Grace Jones and collaborations with bespoke tailors Mark Powell, Charlie Allen and designer label Les Chiffonieres.
