Debra Baxter is a sculptor and art-jewellery designer, represented by Massimo Audello, New York. Debra studied for her MFA in Sculpture at Bard College, Milton Avery School of Fine Arts, New York, 2007; her BFA in Fine Art at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, Minnessota, 1996 and the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence, Italy, 1995. She is the recipient of a 4Culture Special Projects Grant, 2010; Jentel Artist Residency, 2009; Artist Trust Fellowship 2009; and a 4Culture Special Projects Grant 2008.
Baxter's work has been exhibited widely with recent solo shows: 'Wanting Is Easier Than Having', Platform Gallery, Seattle, Washington, 2011; 'Every Distance Is Not Near', Shephard Gallery, Reno, Nevada, 2010; and 'Debra Baxter', Massimo Audello, New York City, New York, 2008. Her work has also been featured in: Zoo Magazine, Germany; Edelweise Magazine, Switzerland; Zink; Art Ltd; Design Bureau; and Sculpture Magazine.
