Dior Homme is the menswear line of the house of Christian Dior. French designer Hedi Slimane gave the label its new name in 2001 and is also credited with evolving the character of the Dior Homme man drawing on his own experiences of various underground music scenes in London, Paris and Berlin. The super-lean cut of Slimane's Dior Homme suiting appealed to designer Karl Lagerfeld so greatly that in 2001 he lost over 40kg in order to wear it. Dior Homme has been designed since S/S 2008 by Belgian designer Kris van Assche.
