Emilio Pucci

Fashion Designer

Emilio Pucci is an Italian brand founded by the aristocrat Don Emilio Pucci, Marchese di Barsento in 1947. The brand is known for its colourful geometric prints. From its first fashion show in Florence in 1951, the label quickly became associated with jet-set celebrity, counting among its fans Jackie Kennedy, Sophia Loren and Marilyn Monroe in the 1960s, and later Madonna in the 1980s.

Following Pucci's death in 1992, his daughter Laudomia Pucci continued to design for the company. 2000 saw the LVMH group acquiring 67% of the company. Laudomia Pucci became image director, while LVMH brought in major designers such as Christian Lacroix (who served as creative director 2002-05), and Matthew Williamson (2005-2009), and Peter Dundas (2009-2015). Massimo Giorgetti was appointed creative director in 2015. Departing in 2017, the brand was designed by the Emilio Pucci team, with guest collections by designers including Tomo Koizumi.

In September 2021, Camille Miceli was named artistic director.
