Trained in design and pattern cutting, Fenella Hitchcock is a writer, researcher and cultural historian. She has a Master’s degree in the History and Culture of Fashion from London College of Fashion and her thesis, a biographical study of Soho artist Sebastian Horsley, was informed by work undertaken within the Museum of London’s fashion and decorative arts archive. Her interests include identity, biography, sexuality and counterculture, and she specialises in men’s fashion of the 20th century. Hitchcock's current work is centred around the relationship between fashion and clubbing, and is an ongoing collaborative project with the visual artist Angel Rose. She is also co-editor of The Costume Society’s blog.
