Francesco Scognamiglio

Francesco Scognamiglio is an Italian fashion designer. Scognamiglio was born in Pompei in 1975 and later went on to complete his diploma at the Istituto Superiore di Design in Naples.

Scognamiglio launched his brand with a couture atelier in 1998. He showed both his debut couture collection and first pret-a-porter collection in 2001. 

Alongside his own designs, he was an external consultant at Versace from 1994-1999. He was appointed creative director at Verri in 2003, launching the first womenswear collection for the brand, and was also creative director of Allegri for three seasons. 

Scognamiglio is known for his seductive and feminine designs focused on volume and daring cuts. His designs have been worn by celebrities including Madonna for her Give It 2 Me single cover, Rihanna for her Rockstar 101 music video and Lady Gaga for various public appearances and her Alejandro music video. Scognamiglio celebrated the ten year anniversary of his label in 2010.
