Since graduating from studying Fine Art at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design in 1999 and Fashion Styling and Photography at the London College of Fashion in 2001, the Japanese photographer and artist Fumiko Imano has swiftly established herself as an interesting new talent. Combining the fields of self-portraiture and fashion photography, her vivacious and appealing images have been published in magazines including Duch, Dune, Big, Cream, Lula, Dong and Code. She has assisted and collaborated with Mark Lebon, Marjan Pejoski and Charles Anastase, who she influenced greatly with her creations. Imano was a finalist at the International Festival of the Art of Fashion in Hyères, 2002. Her first book, 'Fumiko Imano 1974-2005’ is on sale in London, Paris, New York and Japan.
