Fumito Ganryu

Fumito Ganryu is a Japanese designer who began his career working as a pattern maker at Junya Watanabe. He started designing his own diffusion line for Comme des Garçons in 2007, where he would continue to work for a decade.

In 2017, Ganryu left Comme des Garçons to start his own independent, eponymous label, which debuted at Pitti Uomo in 2018. Ganryu's work is often avant-garde, exploring the relationship between the body, clothes and gender through the use of unique silhouettes and proportions.
