Following fronting successful ska band No Doubt, Gwen Stefani went on to launch a solo career with the album Love Angel Music Baby in 2004 which featured collaborations with producers André 3000, Pharrell Williams, Nellee Hooper and No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal. Her solo and No Doubt albums have collectively reached over 40 million sales worldwide.

Stefani has designed for her clothing label L.A.M.B since 2003, showing the collection at New York Fashion Week. L.A.M.B's sister line Harajuku Lovers was launched in 2005, and is inspired by Stefani's fascination for Tokyo street style and culture.
