Sound Supervisor

Ian Simpson is a sound engineer. He started his career working as a live sound engineer in the early 1990s for London venues including The Rock Garden and Dingwalls. Having worked in theatre, clubs and festivals for many years, as well as periods as a studio engineer, he manages the recording and production studio for Middlesex University; the Supercollider recording and production studio.

He also runs his own location recording business, Location Audio, aimed at creatives across the media spectrum as well as more unusual multimedia and art projects. The company also comprises a vocal recording and production suite in London.
Simpson has worked on major productions for organisations such as BBC, Channel 4 and Sky Arts. Clients include Kate Moss, Vivienne Westwood, Bishi, Gazelli Art House, Resonance FM and SHOWstudio.
