Ilker Akyol

Hair stylist and artist Ilker ‘Ilio’ Akyol was born in Istanbul, but now lives and works in New York. He began his professional career as a teenager, when his skills were recognised by several industry types, leading to work for editorial and commercial assignments with a variety of companies and celebrities. Akyol now assists Julien D’Ys, working on varied projects from D’Ys’ atelier in Paris and his own studio in the Bronx, New York.
