Imran Amed is a fashion business adviser, writer, entrepreneur, and founder and editor of the Business of Fashion. An associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins, Amed's expertise is regularly called upon by the international fashion and business media, including CNN, BBC, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Women’s Wear Daily. His writing has been published in Financial Times, Wallpaper*, Vogue India, 032c and on Style.com.

In 2011, Amed was named in British GQ’s 100 Most Influential Men in Britain, Indian GQ’s 50 Most Influential Global Indians, British Vogue’s 25 New Fashion Faces To Watch and Net-a-Porter’s Top 10 Global Blog Power list. Amed sat on the digital and fashion 2012 menswear committees of the British Fashion Council and the Board of Dasra, India’s leading strategic philanthropy foundation.

Previously a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., Amed is an MBA graduate of Harvard Business School and has a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
