Irina Lazareanu

Irina Lazareanu is an international model who was born in Romania and grew up in Montreal, Canada. A trained dancer and dedicated musician, she befriended Pete Doherty during her years studying ballet in London and went on to became drummer in his band, Babyshambles. Irina came into contact with Kate Moss through Doherty who, inspired by her wide-eyed beatnik style, used her in the December/January 05-06 of French Vogue she was guest-editing at the time. Lazareanu has worked with a range of key fashion photographers including Steven Meisel and has made appearances in campaigns for Chanel , Balenciaga, Anna Molinari and Cavalli . Her look has invited comparison with the likes of Nico and Penelope Tree. She currently lives in New York City and is working on an album with Sean Lennon.
