Kensui Arao

Creative Director

Kensui Arao is an advertising creative director. Driven by finding new ways of connecting people on the streets and around the world, he was Senior Creative Director from 2000-2002 at Saatchi and Saatchi Tokyo, 2002-2004 at TBWA\Tokyo, Executive Creative Director at EURO RSCG Japan, at Publicis Tokyo, as well as a long stint of freelancing as a creative director/film director at studio D.O.G. inc. from May 2009.  He has been involved in innovative projects for a wide range of clients including Air France, Emirates, adidas, Nike, Intel, GUINNESS, Renault, Toyota, Lancôme, shu uemura, Pedigree and Kal Kan.  

Arao set a new standard of outdoor advertising in Japan demonstrated by a series of guerrilla advertising pieces for the adidas 2002 World Cup campaign in Tokyo. In 2006, an integrated campaign for BEAMS' 30th anniversary including the TOKYO STYLE CLASH/HOT OR NOT event in collaboration with SHOWstudio won the Bronze Medal at the CLIO Innovative Media Awards, Gold at the Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia and was a Cannes Media Lions Finalist.
