Lou Dalton’s career began in the county of Shropshire after childhood years spent with a grandmother whose love for fashion inspired her. Dalton had left school early to pursue an apprenticeship in bespoke tailoring and pattern cutting at sixteen. After completing a Master's from the Royal College of Art in menswear and moving to Italy to work as a design consultant, Dalton came back to London, where she continued to design.
Years of working with the top menswear fashion houses including Hamish Morrow, Stone Island, Crucianni Knitwear and Charlie Allen honed her skills and Dalton created her own label in 2005.
Dalton’s menswear designs are available across the United Kingdom as well as in Europe and Japan while further collaborations with Topshop and Rodnik continue to widen her base.
She currently teaches on the Menswear & Accessory Design courses at the Royal College of Art in London and continues to design for her label, showcasing seasonally at London Fashion Week.
