Italian model Mariacarla Boscono was first discovered in 1997, and has since played muse to designers including Riccardo Tisci and the late Karl Lagerfeld, fronting a plethora of campaigns for the likes of Bottega Veneta, Givenchy, Burberry, Moschino and Hermès. She has worked with the world's leading photographers such as Juergen Teller, Nick Knight, Richard Burbridge, Mario Sorrenti, Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein and Peter Lindbergh, also featuring on the covers of magazines such as Vogue, W and Vanity Fair. She holds the record for the most shows walked in a season, having walked 77 in 2005.

In 2006, Boscono made her theatrical debut. She later appeared in a series of plays directed by Imogen Kusch in 2010-2011.
