Matty Bovan
Designer
Matty Bovan is a designer and founder of his eponymous label. Born in York, Bovan studied Fashion Knitwear at Central Saint Martins, then he completed an MA in the same subject, graduating in 2015. His 12-look graduate collection opened the final show and earned him the L'Oréal Professionel Creative Award, closely followed by the LVMH Graduate Prize in 2015. He alsoworked under Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton for a year.
He showed with Fashion East for three seasons before moving to a stand-alone show in A/W 18. Bovan has also received support from the BFC NewGen initiative for subsequent shows.
Bovan's work has been worn by the likes of Adwoa Aboah, Georgia May Jagger and Björk. He has collaborated with the likes of luxury brand Coach, milliner Stephen Jones, accessories designer Katie Hillier and department store Liberty London.
Aside from running his line, Bovan is senior contributing fashion editor of LOVE magazine.
