Miki Fukai

Fashion Designer

Miki Fukai is a London-based Japanese fashion designer of contemporary womenswear. She graduated in 2002 from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a distinction in MA Fashion Design. Prior to the MA, Fukai worked as a stylist and fashion/costume designer in Japan. During her study at Central Saint Martins, she was contributing editor to Japanese fashion magazine So-En with her own monthly column. Her label debuted in January 2003, and the following season she won the coveted New Gen 4 award and New Generation catwalk sponsorship from the British Fashion Council and Topshop. Her S/S 05 collection was sponsored by Mikimoto and Topshop.
