Ned Beauman is a British novelist and journalist, living in London. Having studied philosophy at Cambridge university, Beauman has written for several magazines and newspapers such as Dazed & Confused, The Financial Times and Literary Review.

In 2010 his debut novel Boxer, Beetle was shortlisted for The Guardian first book award and the Desmond Elliott prize just one year later. In 2011 Beauman was picked by The Culture Show as one of the 12 Best New British Writers. His second novel, The Teleportation Accident was long-listed for the Man Booker Prize 2012. His third novel, Glow, was published in 2014, and fourth novel, Madness is Better than Defeat, in 2017.
