Patrick Cox is a Canadian-British fashion designer. His eponymous footwear label introduced the ‘Wannabe’ loafer, the most iconic shoe of the 90s. He subsequently sold his label in 2007 to Hong Kong based King Power Group.
Cox went to university at Cordwainer's Technical College in London, which was later absorbed into London College of Fashion. After a brief stint in the patisserie business, Cox returned to shoe design with Italian shoe giant GEOX, a collaboration that proved very successful. In 2015, Cox launched his lifestyle brand Lathbridge at London Collections: Men.
Cox has been awarded British Accessories Designer of the Year twice (1994 and 1995) and the Fashion Medal of Honor by the Footwear Association of New York in 1996.
