Rochas

Fashion Designer

French fashion house Rochas was founded in 1925 by Marcel Rochas. Following his death in 1955, the house was taken over by his wife Hélène, who found particular success with the company's perfume division - under her guidance, it increased six-fold until her departure from the house in 1971. In 2002, Olivier Theyskens was appointed creative director, attracting renewed interest to the brand, yet in 2006, the brand's clothing division was closed.

In 2008, Rochas clothing was relaunched, and Italian designer Marco Zanini took over creative leadership of the brand. Zanini left in 2013 after five years, to head up Schiaparelli. He was succeeded by Alessandro Dell'Acqua, whose first show for the house took place in February 2014 for the A/W 14 season. In January 2017, Rochas launched menswear, with the first collection designed by Béatrice Ferran.

Charles de Vilmorin was creative director from 2021-2023.
