Launched in Spring 2008, SIBLING was born of a desire to reinvigorate mens knitwear. Taken from the starting point of traditional pieces such as cashmere twinsets and Breton tops, designers Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery have collectively had backgrounds with designers as varied as Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Lanvin, Jonathan Saunders and Bella Freud.
Collaboration with artists (Noah Scalin, Will Broome, Nobel & Webster), musicians (Lionel Flair of the Flairs, Schwefelgelb, Terry Hall of The Specials) and photographers (Alasdair McLellan, Axel Hoedt and Thomas Giddings) have been important to the SIBLING approach to design, while wit, colour and exuberance are part of their design signature.
In 2011 SIBLING received NEWGEN sponsorship to show their first womenswear collection, Sister by SIBLING.
