Sofia Prantera

Stylist

Born in Italy, Sofia Maria Prantera moved to London at the age of 19 to study fashion at Central Saint Martins. After finishing her BA, Prantera began working at Slam City Skates as an in-house designer. During this time, she started skatewear brand, Holmes. After leaving Slam City Skates in the late nineties, Prantera founded British brand, Silas; a streetwear brand which went on to achieve worldwide cult status. In 2010, Prantera founded the contemporary denim brand, Aries with Luca Benini and artist Fergus 'Fergadelic' Purcell.

Alongside photographer Elaine Constantine, Prantera has worked as a stylist for The Face and Italian Vogue. Inspired by the clash between youth culture, streetwear and high fashion, Prantera's work has been featured in i-D, The Face, Dazed, Vogue, and Self Service magazine, amongst others.

Prantera now lives in London with her husband and two children.
