Fashion Editor of the International Herald Tribune since 1988, Suzy Menkes is one of fashion's most widely respected authorities. Born in London, Menkes moved to Paris for a year to study dressmaking before attending university at Cambridge, where she read History and English Literature.
Following a time as junior, then senior fashion reporter at London's Times newspaper, Menkes joined the International Herald Tribune, succeeding Hebe Dorsey, and remains only the third Fashion Editor at the paper in 50 years. Menkes has written a number of books on the subject of luxury including The Royal Jewels, The Windsor Style and Queen and Country and has received both the Order of the British Empire and the Legion d'Honneur for her services to journalism.
