Venetia Scott is a groundbreaking stylist, who is closely associated with developing the role of the fashion stylist at the end of the 1980s into what is has become understood as today. Scott began her career as a fashion assistant at British Vogue under former editor Beatrix Miller and, upon leaving, went on to shoot freelance for numerous magazines including Italian Vogue, Self Service, Another Magazine, W, i-D and The Face. In 1999 she became Fashion Director of the relaunched Nova magazine.
Scott has worked with a wide range of photographers including, most famously, Juergen Teller, David Sims, Mario Sorrenti, Steven Klein, Helmut Newton, Horst Diegerdes and Glen Luchford. In 1997 Venetia began working with designer Marc Jacobs, becoming Creative Director of Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs labels. Her advertising work includes Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein Eternity fragrance, CK Jeans, Anna Molinari, Katherine Hamnett and Strenesse.
