Willie Walters joined Central Saint Martins in 1992 as leader of Womenswear. She became director of the Fashion Programme in 1998, succeeding Wendy Dagworthy. She has shaped the prestigious course over the past two decades into the multi pathway hot house for creativity that it is today. Those who have studied under her aegis are Angel Chen, Bora Aksu, Charles Jeffery, Christopher Kane, Craig Green, Gareth Pugh, Grace Wales Bonner, Hussien Chalayan, Meadham Kirchhoff, Molly Goddard, Phoebe English, Phoebe Philo, Ricardo Tisci, Richard Malone, Stella McCartney, Wes Gordon and Zac Posen, amongst many others.
