Peter Bertsch is the fashion designer behind the German label Peter Hornstein. After working as a tailor and patternmaker in various companies, Bertsch began studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. With his graduation collection “Bionic”, Bertsch gained international media recognition and several prizes including the 1.2.3 award at the International Festival de Mode 2007 in Hyeres and the Anne Chapelle “Createur” Award. The same year, Bertsch was named a finalist in an initiative to design a prototype for Louis Vuitton. In 2006, Bertsch founded and edited the fashion title +One; a collaboration between seventeen fashion graduates and seventeen established Belgian fashion designers, among them Dries Van Noten and Martin Margiela. Bertsch has been featured in numerous magazines, including Vogue, ELLE, Dazed & Confused and Wallpaper.
