>Scott Wilson

Jeweller

Scott Wilson is a jewellery designer based in London. Whilst studying for an MA in womenswear and millinery at the Royal College of Art, Wilson completed a work placement with Karl Lagerfeld in Paris, creating one off pieces for his Spring/Summer 1996 show. Since then Wilson has launched his own eponymous label, working on catwalk pieces for a variety of designers including Hussein Chalayan, Jean Paul Gaultier and Burberry. He has also been commissioned by clients as disparate as Kylie Minogue, Lindt, MAC and Björk, and by stylists such as Jane How, Patti Wilson and Sarah Richardson to create pieces for use in Vogue, W and Citizen K. Taking inspiration from travel, far flung civilisations and modernist architecture, Wilson creates innovative designs that are recognised for their great attention to detail and hand finished nature. His work has been showcased in numerous books and has been featured in Swarovski’s Runway Rocks, part of the V&A’s Fashion in Motion series in 2004. In 2007, Wilson launched the Scott Wilson Couture line; 2009 will see a collaboration with French ballerina shoe brand, Repetto.
