From Shakespeare to The Smiths, Wittgenstein to WarholIt exceeded my expectation, and my imagination, they had put on a great show. Politics aside, even for non Chinese, that was a very moving ceremony, if one knows the history of China in the past 150 years. They had put on this show not just to welcome internation guests, but for their own people as well. It's bitter sweet.
