Veja is a French label of ecological trainers made in Brazil respecting the fundamental rights of workers. Veja was first launched in France in 2004.

Since its creation, the brand has experienced rapid growth in Europe and has been endorsed by the most selective fashion stores and by numerous fashion magazines. Originally based in Paris, the company has recently opened a new office/ showroom in London.
Veja is looking for a dynamic in-house press and communication intern to complete the london-based team.

Job description:

-You will handle day to day PR activity. This will involve answering journalists requests, sending samples to magazines and stylists, working on the communication of new styles launchs, etc…
-You will participate to the organization of press days
-You will be in touch with fashion and green blogs
-You will help to the orgazination of the brand events
-You will participate to the conception and writing of communication documents (Press releases, presentations, articles, etc…)

Travels to Paris might be expected.

Requirements:

-Experience in fashion PR.
-Willingness to participate in the development of a small company.
-Interest and understanding of ecology and fair trade ethics.
-Taste for Fashion.
-Self-motivation and ablility to work under minimal supervision.
-Good writing.
-Ability to think creatively for PR solutions.
-Excellent relationship skills - be able to communicate effectively with journalists and peers.
-Possess a natural curiosity for cultural events and new trends.

At this stage we are not in a position to pay but will be able to offer lunches and transport fees. References can also be provided.
