It's very difficult not to get excited about a package from Yves Saint Laurent, and the delivery of our Edition 24 Catalogues proved no exception. Glossy, chic and darkly luxurious – much like Stefano Pilati’s YSL woman herself – the catalogue is an ample record of both the 24HRS films and the Edition 24 collection itself, presented with typical Saint Laurent flair as a cloth-cosseted hardback tome destined for many a Mies Van Der Rohe coffee-table.

If you had any concerns that the YSL prize would ever find its winner, fear not: Agnes Stamp has identified herself (who works at GQ magazine, no less) and as you can see in this image of its receipt, the case is now in with its rightful owner!

We printed out the names of all those who submitted 24 correct answers to our competition and asked our most trustworthy studio member (Dorian) to draw one at random. And lo, it was AGNES STAMP!! Contact us immediately, Agnes, and that case is yours!

Behold, we've just added a new feature to our 24HRS catalogue section. Those of you on larger screens now have the option to 'supersize' the spreads so you can read the featured narrations as well as appreciate the fine layouts.

Our live broadcast in July provided 24 hours of non-stop YSL entertainment, certainly, then twenty-four innovative film shorts to be sure, but surely you didn't think we'd pass up the opportunity to work with the resultant film stills as well? This 78-'page' online catalogue featuring Nick Knight's selected images from the project and excerpts from the live narration, takes a modern and energetic romp through the event, pausing periodically to take it its many reflective, classicist moments.

You've until midnight tomorrow night to win that splendid black, patent YSL laptop case as part of our 24hrs competition! All you need to do is answer twenty-four questions on the form provided on the SHOWstudio site and that sleek item of luggage -worth £910 ($1795)- could well be yours!!
By SHOWstudio, 16:20 Thu 25 Oct 2007
With the final films from the 24hrs project available today, you are finally able not only to view the project in its entirety, but also to win the exclusive YSL prize! At the end of each film, a question is posed: answer all these correctly and you have the chance to win a YSL Downtown laptop case in signature black patent.
The questions relate to the plotlines and scenarios of the movies, the Edition 24 clothing showcased within, or the rich history of the YSL brand. To enter, watch each film closely and then complete the online form. On 8 November 2007 one lucky SHOWstudio viewer will be selected at random to receive that fabulous YSL prize!

Plexiglass stars were in the ascendant this morning at YSL's S/S '08 press day and the PRs were sporting the contentious heels (with guide marks for your toes!) assiduously to prove their 5.5" spikes can indeed be endured! Best of all, I departed with the prize for our 24hrs competition, which will be revealed later this afternoon!

She dances! She poses! She sits still for the make-up artists! She struts... Watch Jessica Miller excel in the second of 4 batches of 6 films drawn from our 24hr broadcast. Then take note of the questions at the end of each. On the 25th of this month, a form will go live on the site, allowing you to fill in all 24 answers and contend for the fabulous YSL prize.

Today is the first of four Thursdays (4, 11, 18 & 25 October 2007) when we will release a set of six new movies, timed in with the launch of YSL's newly redesigned ysl.com website. Each of the twenty-four film edits represents one of the hours of our 24hrs live broadcast on SHOWstudio last July.
Featuring the glorious Jessica Miller styled by Stefano Pilati himself, with myriad sets by Gideon Ponte, the films were made by Nick Knight to celebrate the creation of Yves Saint Laurent's new Edition 24 collection. Follow them in random order, paying special attention to the questions posed at the end of each, then fill in the competition form posted on the site on 25 October 2007 to win an item from the hit Edition 24 line!

I just want to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all the people who sent scripts in, submitted political slogans or phoned in to the 24 HOUR broadcast. I don't know how it felt from your side, but for myself it was one of the most exciting projects that I have undertaken. Thank you all.
I have a very strong belief in using fashion as a medium for political dicussion and this project not only helped to underpin SHOWstudio's continuing desire to explore that, but was a forerunner of larger projects on that topic that we hope to launch later this year.

You can say one thing for fashion: it's very, very good at saying thank-you! This box of the best cupcakes in town arrived at SHOWstudio mansions this morning, cancelling out any memories of fraught moments, struggling with 100s of scripts, tense moments wondering whether 50 mobile phones might go off simultaneously or the exhaustion following a high-pressure all-nighter. The YSL-fuschia wrappings put me in mind of Suzy Menkes' review of Stefano Pilati's A/W '06-7 collection where the authenticity of the precise hue of the pink chairs journalists sat on was called into question. Did our generous cake sender get his Pantone chart out when ordering, we wonder?!

A big thank you to all of the SHOWstudio viewers who contributed treatments for our 24HRS live shoot. Those super-talented indivduals include: Farrah Karapetian, Sarah Tan, Jere V, Konrad, Lane Stewart, Kelsey Bostwick, Roman L.A., Sylviane Louzoun, Sayaka Rui, Tina Jiang, Marilyn Ashworth, Jason Evans, Aaron Duarte, Mamoru Kobayakawa, Natalie Marie Gehrels, Mandy Lee, Petrovsky&Ramone and Tamas. We couldn't have achieved this without you.

We've made it to the twenty-fourth hour: Act IV, Scene 6!! Here's the 'Coat Check', as described in Kelsey Bostwick's final scene.
By SHOWstudio, 10:55 Mon 16 Jul 2007
Contributed by Farrah Karapetian, this scene features Jessica and her mini-me counterpart, played beautifully by Nick's twelve year-old daughter, Ella Knight.
By SHOWstudio, 10:10 Mon 16 Jul 2007
As we said, Jessica's got great moves: even when she's 'dancing to the wrong tune' (as instructed by Sayaka Rui in their treatment for 'The Performance').
By SHOWstudio, 09:14 Mon 16 Jul 2007
Nick briefs Jessica and a cast of masked dancers for the next scene, contributed by Mandy Lee and inspired by Maya Deren's cocktail party scene in the 1946 film, Ritual in Transfigured Time.
By Penny Martin, 06:25 Mon 16 Jul 2007
And note the hemline on his trousers, boys: you'll all be wearing 'em that short come winter!
By SHOWstudio, 06:08 Mon 16 Jul 2007
Multiple portraits of Jessica and Stefano are being prepared by the art department -derived from Roman L.A.'s treatment- which will later adorn a rotating ring, suspended above the set.
By SHOWstudio, 05:59 Mon 16 Jul 2007
SHOWstudio contributor Marcus Werner Hed has come in with Sola especially...to have an argument, as per Lane Stewart's script. The narrator's voiceover, drawn from Mamoru Kobayakawa's treatment, may not have much to do with the action, but Nick just liked it. OK?
