South-London designer Caitlin Price plays with the ideas of artificial luxury within her designs. Inspired by old photographs, her friends and the idea of day-to-night wearability, Price’s garments embody the parties of her youth.
For S/S 16, Price's collaborator Benjamin Bowe-Carter, created two films to showcase the collection. Price’s hedonistic aesthetic and girl-gang inspirations take centre stage in the duo's reference film, as Carter captures 90s drum and bass rave visuals. The second video captures the presentation itself and, overlaid with the same rave music, showcases Price's S/S 16 collection, alluding to her South London contextual referencing.
