Russian designer Tigran Avetisyan continues to use film as a means to parody and question the luxury industry. His latest work Duty Free Pour Homme - New Fragrance by Tigran Avetisyan plays on the classic perfume ad and introduces his 'new fragrance', created for alongside his S/S 15 collection. The scent is a mixture of four different perfumes - Chanel, Dior, Calvin Klein, Gucci - poured into one 3D printed bottle.
Avetisyan's S/S 15 collection explores similar themes to the film and serves as a bold commentary on brands that create collections only to keep up perfumes sales. 'The point of the collection was never to sell perfume, but through the perfume sell the S/S 15 collection. It might not make sense, but it's actually the reverse logic of what big brands are doing, who produce collections only to support sales of their best-selling perfumes.'
