'Sittings' gallery now launched!

If you didn't get your fill of brooding male beauty in yesterday's launch of our full VMAN Model Search gallery, you can now peruse the first batch of Simon Foxton's live Sittings models as captured in situ at Somerset House. As Foxton fans will know, the premise of this project is quite simple: Simon and his team style a male model head-to-toe, transforming him into a 'Living Portrait' before a webcam - and, in this instance, in the SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution gallery space. Challenging and even inverting the assertion of men as the sex that looks and women the sex that is looked at, Sittings nevertheless does not turn the model into an object - the telephone allows gallery-goers and webcam viewers alike to interact with the model on such open display. Our new gallery documents the first thirty-two 'Living Portraits' of this new series, with updates being constantly added as the project progresses throughout SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution
