Nick Knight continues his creative relationship with Kilgour and Carlo Brandelli with a new fashion film. The work, the second in the pair's ‘Reflection Series’, showcases the tailoring house's S/S 15 collection. It features a collection of sculptural mirrored boxes, some in black mirror and some in silver, designed by Brandelli to capture the image of a silhouette. 'The architectural nature of the sculptural layers building is a comment on how the thought process develops with layers of ideas,' explains Brandelli.
Tailoring house Kilgour's S/S 15 collection begun with the idea of 'thread' - the key component to all design. The presentation, staged during London Collections: Men within the multi-use Kilgour flagship space in Savile Row, was built around an installation of fibre optic thread. Continually referencing the bespoke craft, the S/S 15 collection centred on the development of a Kilgour ‘K’ lapel, sysemetric tailoring, a study on expressing ‘seams’ and new developments in the collar and lapel propositions for knotch overlay, contemporary peak, reduced knotch and angle shawl.
