Sittings: Thirty Men

Over April 2005, Simon Foxton styled 30 models as 'living magazine pages', seated in front of a webcam. Via telephone, the 'Sittings' models could take questions from a curious public watching via the Internet. This project details not only each outfit of this thirty-day editorial but also a monograph of Foxton's trailblazing styling career through text and image.

About

Over April 2005, Simon Foxton styled 30 models as 'living magazine pages' - a different man each day in an Autumn/Winter 2005 outfit by a different fashion designer. Each model was groomed, carefully composed as a magazine shot and seated in front of a webcam for four hours.

Via telephone, these Sittings models could take questions from a curious public watching via the Internet. This project details not only each outfit conceived by Foxton for this thirty-day editorial but also provides a monograph of Foxton's trailblazing styling career through text and image.

Allowing glimpses into Foxton's world of inspirations and influences through his source imagery and sketchbooks, Sittings: 30 Men is a timely examination of Simon Foxton's consistently innovative career as one of the foremost fashion stylists of his generation.
