Comedies, Histories and Tragedies Fourth Folio by William Shakespeare,
1685

This rare copy of William Shakespeare's fourth folio: 'Comedies, Histories and Tragedies' was printed in 1685 and was published according to the true original copies that included seven plays never before printed in folio.

This book is bound in eighteenth century calf skin, with a Morocco title labeled to the spine. The object represents the last of the 17th-century editions of Shakespeare's works, all of which rank among the highest points in English literature. The world would have virtually no record of some of the greatest and most influential works of western literature without these copies.
