This 3D glass sculpture of Daphne Guinness was produced by Nick Knight for a project commissioned by Le Printemps department store in Paris during February and March 2012. As the featured model, Daphne Guinness embodied the Spring/Summer theme of 'Visions Couture'.

When Nick Knight was approached to create installations to grace the windows of Paris' Le Printemps department store, the first model that leapt to mind was Daphne Guinness. The resulting glass sculpture created by a subsurface engraving of glass using a laser technique creates a highly-detailed rendition of the model, seen from all sides through the polished glass.

The installation included a plethora of elements; a live shoot broadcast that allowed viewers to witness the creative process; a camera situated in the window of Le Printemps Paris which broadcast the public at large interacting with the window pieces, a selection of fashion films set against soundtracks of opera and spoken-word poetry recorded in Guinness' own voice and sculptures printed using 3D printing technology.
