Ericsson's nicotine works on paper are created through a unique process which begins with burning digital photographs into silkscreens. Subsequently the images are recreated in nicotine as ashtrays filled with smouldering cigarettes are placed beneath the screens, their smoke gradually creating pictorial stains on the paper, while destroying the screen
