Since assisting SHOWstudio's very own Nick Knight, recognised Norwegian fashion photographer – Solve Sundsbo – has gone on to become one of the most prolific photographers of our time. Contributing a 2008 print titled Man with Flowers to our winter 2010 exhibition Florist, Sundsbo successfully juxtaposes imagery of nature set against technology. The portrait culminates anonymity, high fashion and organic beauty. The faceless figure becomes defined through his highly stylised surroundings. By altering the typical image associated with ‘a man with flowers’, Sundsbo successfully turns that on its head - literally.
