This aluminium Sound-Sculpture Robe was created for William Klein's 1966 film Qui Êtes-Vous, Polly Maggoo? which was a satire on the contemporary fashion industry. Fashioned out of sheets of folded aluminium, the robe is at once haute-couture and 'body instrument', whose music is 'playable' through movement

Brothers Francois and Bernard Baschet are the famous originators of the Sound Sculpture and many other innovative musical instruments. Combining their two practices, Francois is a sculptor, Bernard is an engineer, the brothers created this aluminium Sound-Sculpture Robe for William Klein's 1966 film Qui Êtes-Vous, Polly Maggoo? which was a satire on the contemporary fashion industry. Fashioned out of sheets of folded aluminium, the robe is at once haute-couture and 'body instrument', whose music is 'playable' through movement.
