Our winter 2010 exhibition Florist encouraged an array of fashion creatives to wish us 'Happy 10th anniversay' in flowers - but, for the Japan-born and Paris-based house of Kenzo, floral abundance is second nature. Witness this offering of Kenzo creative director Antonia Marras for our show - a hand-painted array of billowing flowers grasped within two hands. Created in Sardinia, the abstract painting reclines within a vintage case that cleverly compliments the muddy, organic tones of the floral image and also underscores the nomadic inspirations behind Kenzo's celebrated collections. Fitting really, as the esteemed house also celebrates its fortieth year in business. Blooming marvellous!
