I am currently planning a trip to the Middle East. I just watched 'Lawrence of Arabia' to get in the mood. Apparently TE Lawrence's father was called Chapman but never married Lawrence's mother. If he had, it would have been 'Chapman of Arabia'. Although, I suppose if this had occurred, Lawrence may have turned out different (I assume being born out of wedlock in the 1800's would have registered as a formative event). Maybe TE Chapman would have become a graphic designer. I am now also very wary of quicksand.
