FORGET-ME-NOT
FORGET-ME-NOT

This was the first SHOWstudio project I ever worked on and it has very fond memories for me.

TRANSFORMER
TRANSFORMER

Something very strange happened on the set of Transformer: it was as if we could see the future of SHOWstudio. I find myself watching the McQueen 'Bridegroom Stripped Bare' film all the time.

DREAM CLOSET
DREAM CLOSET

This was the first ever project I was involved in commissioning. We met Fumiko at Hyères and knew we had to work with her.

THE SOUND OF CLOTHES: ANECHOIC
THE SOUND OF CLOTHES: ANECHOIC

Anechoic is one of those projects that sounds so preposterous on paper that you lose hope of it ever happening. We knew it was important to try it, though, and it was electric on the day.

SHOOT
SHOOT

I show this at SHOWstudio presentations a lot. It's fantastically indulgent but shows what can happen when Nick and SHOWstudio really let themselves go...

SITTINGS: THIRTY MEN
SITTINGS: THIRTY MEN

I was such an admirer of Simon Foxton's work before I ever met him through SHOW and this project lets me just indulge that fandom.

CORRESPONDENT: Jason Evans
CORRESPONDENT: Jason Evans

When these images first came into the studio as a pack of Snappy Snaps, the teamed pored over them with the attention usually reserved for pornography. I like to think that this project is what led to Jason's 'Beauty Where You Find It' and ongoing 'The Daily Nice' web projects.

MAC III

The 'automatic edit' idea for this makes it eternally watchable. Having been to the 'dance marathon' collection upon which it's based, I never in a million years thought Nick could get something so classical and hypnotic out of all the hysteria and melodrama of the show.

SHELF APPEAL
SHELF APPEAL

Am I allowed to put one of my own in there?! I absolutely LOVED doing these: it allowed me to indulge my slightly autistic obsession with the fashion detail.

FASH-OFF
FASH-OFF

We encountered a lot of resistance to this project and Gareth fielded a lot of personal criticism in the beginning, for which I felt terribly responsible. But gradually, as the project went on, the naysayers became markedly quiet. I love the fact that Gareth doggedly silenced him with his brilliant and strangely sad performances.

Indeed, I heard a rumour that the very musically gifted Mike might actually be 'performing'! [more]

This is just grrreat. [more]

I can honestly say I shed a tear when I heard this yesterday morning on BBC Breakfast...at their reporting! "Inventor of the blazer,... [more]

This is a slanderous accusation! Everyone know fashion websites are last on the list for free fashion booty! [more]

Really, do, Landon. Even my husband said it was 'very good' and that's near-hysterical praise coming from a Glaswegian. [more]
