Here at SHOWstudio Shop we're finally setting our power tools aside to raise a glass in celebration of the opening of our latest exhibition, Practice to Deceive: Smoke & Mirrors in Fashion, Fine Art and Film. Installing the exhibition over the past three days has been a labour of love, having endured nicotine cravings while unpacking T.R. Ericsson's drawings, tempted our narcissism while polishing Dan Graham, Henry Krokatsis, and Francois and Bernard Baschet's sculptures and set up the final Jo Calderone film exclusively showing in our video room. Open to the public from 15 April to 16 July 2011, Practice to Deceive also includes extraordinary work by Fernand Fonssagrives, Ruth Hogben, William Claxton, Jenifer Corker, Oleg Dou, Brian Dowling, Water Hugo, Stephen Jones, William Klein, Nick Knight, Craig McDean, Eward Quinn, Joseph Szabo and Sissel Tolaas exploring the expression "smoke & mirrors" both literally and figuratively.
Please join us tonight, Thursday 14 April, here on Bruton Place at the SHOWstudio SHOP for the private view of Practice to Deceive from 6pm.
