The Nina Ricci girl is ever a lady, a former ballerina turned elegant beauty with certain knowledge of the boudoir. Here comes black bondage straps across the breast from beneath sheer material and other peekaboo detailing. It was gauzy fabrics like this one, even in playful polka dots, that increased the sex factor of the collection - that and transparent panels on baby pastels, fishnets, zippers and quivering fringe. What Ricci continues to translate well is a modern rendition of a jumper or cardigan and skirt. It never looks staid, but rather sexy in Peter Copping's hands.
