At Alberta Ferretti, prettiness ruled. When does it not? A palette of dusky pinks and lilacs, tiered as maxidresses and with pleats for added swish, paraded past. Some pieces were festooned with flowers, applique and print, or occasionally hung from leather harnesses that gave edge to the pastoral idyll.
These are perfect cover shoot gowns, ripe for pretty popstrels and up-and-coming starlets. Some prarie-ish sheer, embroidered broderie dresses were teamed with suede waistcoats complete with floor-length fringing. These felt more street - given the Boho breeze sweeping through this season's collections they could end up looking great with jeans. But ultimately these are dresses for frolicking in rather than anything more functional. and there's nothing wrong with that, provided that's all on your schedule for Spring/Summer 2015.
