Peter Pilotto is a label interested in dimension. Their troupe l'oeil prints and galactic feel have always had visual depth. For Spring/Summer 2015, they took this literally, using holographic material tiled onto their signature structured dresses and paved as cut-out leaves and florals that blossomed into lilac hibiscus prints on well cut jackets.
Further 3D came from enamel badges and plastic rosettes stuck onto garments, making up a blown up and blown out sort of Paisley effect that had a retro-future sort of feel.
And there were flatter clothes too, ones that felt less like show pieces, that will extend reach to a customer beyond their usual crowd - in particular a sort of rainbow psychedelia stripe that came on wrap skirts and kick flares. These were more fluid than usual, with more ease to them, but that loosening up detracts not a bit from this label's graphic sense of adventure.
