Adam Mufti is a filmmaker based in London whose elegant approach and continuing working relationship with Nick Knight has enabled many film collaborations with key image-making figures including Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Brad Pitt, Simon Foxton, Björk, Grace Jones and Comme des Garcons. After graduating with a BA in Graphic Design at Salford University, Mufti joined SHOWstudio in 2000 to lead its programme of film content. He was motion image director before leaving to go freelance in 2004.

Mufti was invited by the Victoria and Albert Museum to direct the restoration of Guy Bourdin's unseen film archive, both editing and recontextualising it. The outcome of this work was central to the 2003 Bourdin retrospective and its international tour. A sister project was to edit the unseen films of Erwin Blumenfeld. It was posted on SHOWstudio in 2006.

Additionally, Mufti has directed work for several brands including Rimmel, Max Factor, British Vogue and Elle, YSL, Ungaro, Umbro and Amex. Mufti's work has been featured on MTV Europe and at numerous festivals and exhibitions around the globe. Proficient in digital video technologies, he has lectured internationally at events including OFFF Barcelona, The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts and Onedotzero 8.
