Adam Murray is an academic, curator and the pathway leader of Central Saint Martins’ Fashion Communication and Promotion MA programme. Hailing from the north of England, some of Murray's most celebrated work honours northern fashion perspectives. Murray began his project Preston is my Paris in July 2009 with Robert Parkinson, as a photocopied zine with the intention of encouraging the exploration of the city of Preston as a subject for creative practice. This developed into a multi-faceted project rooted in photography, including publications, site-specific installations, live events, digital applications, education and writing. The work is held at the Tate Library, Fotomuseum Winterthur Collection, Artists’ Books Special Collections at Manchester Metropolitan Unviersity and Special Collections at London College of Communication.

Murray co-curated the exhibition North: Fashioning Identity with Lou Stoppard, which ran from 2017-2018 at Somerset House in London. In 2018, he curated The Accumulation of Things at the Bonington Gallery in Nottingham.
